What Makes a Pregnancy High-Risk?
A pregnancy can be considered high-risk due to pre-existing conditions, issues that arise during pregnancy, or lifestyle factors.
1. Maternal Health Conditions
- Chronic Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes)
- Kidney or heart disease
- Autoimmune disorders (e.g., lupus)
- Thyroid disorders
- Obesity or underweight

2. Pregnancy-Related Conditions
- Preeclampsia (high BP + signs of organ damage)
